Going Gluten/Dairy Free as been the hardest best decision I ever made.
I would highly recommend reading 'Eat Pretty" Nutrition for Beauty Inside and Out. By Jolene Hart.
Great for those in the process of making a lifestyle change.
Prepare for the fact that although you may see changes soon it may take up to six months to fully detox. It will be worth it though to get to the bottom of things one way or another.
Ive found there are literally alternatives to all dairy and gluten foods and they taste great! (i use dairy free and vegan interchangeably but meaning the same thing)

Frozen Fruit, Little Coconut Milk, Stevia Drops, Lemon. This is one you for sure want to look up on pinterest or instagram. Experiment with it but I will say all my friends prefer to make this as opposed to going out to get a treat. My dad loves it too.
The hardest thing to cut out for me was Pizza. There are so many gluten free pizza options but when you go vegan on the cheese its hard to find something edible. HOWEVER! There is one brand I do love. It will be an acquired taste but better than nothing. You can get it at Harmons.
*DAIYA BRAND* I would say steer clear of eating out at Pizza Places even if there are other options initially because it will be hard to not cave.
There are so many other options so the KEY is to make it FUN!
Donuts, Cheesecake, Ice Cream Bars, Chips, Cereal You name it there is a dairy free/ gluten free option. You'll be amazed once you start to look.
Make sure to ask your waiter for vegan/gluten free options. Even if the menu doesn't specify they cater to allergies they will have options so make the waiter aware!
Again, having your friends and family (especially dad or husband) aware and supportive made a big difference for me. I had to start looking at it as a lifestyle not a diet. It's hard at times but I wont ever go back. I feel and look so much better and it was the key to clearing up mine and my sisters acne. What worked for me may not work for me but give things a good shot, experiment, COMMIT, and have fun with it.
Pinterest is loaded with ideas but feel free to ask me anything I might have left out!
I'm excited for you to possibly feel like a new woman like I did!
